body stories + yoga: (Peri)menopause

Every body has a story. As our bodies change, so do our stories, and taking time to craft and share compassionate, informed versions of our stories can bring healing and wholeness individually and communally. Perimenopause and menopause are huge shifts in our bodies that we often feel under informed about. Brook Simonson is a registered nurse and (Peri)Menopause Embodiment coach who will share helpful information about hormone health, supportive lifestyle choices, and self advocacy with us to empower us on this leg of the journey to stay embodied and be equipped to advocate for our health and thriving. Ellie will lead us through some yoga and reflection on our own body stories so that we can root, rise, and flow in our freedom, vitality, and power. Let’s move and flow together in community, celebrating our amazing bodies.

Brook:  A warrior-mama first and foremost, Brook lives and leads in the world with heart first, and grit second. After a long journey of rising from the depths of relational trauma, and the resulting debilitating physical illness, Brook has taken all that she has learned from the deep, and has turned it into her own kind of human-centered medicine. As a Registered Nurse with a home-based Integrative Perimenopause Educator + Coaching practice, Brook safely guides other amazing humans through their journey of discovery and rising. The foundations of her practice include hormone education, lifestyle medicine, fitness instruction, somatic practices, and whole-life coaching. When not actively tending to her kids, or supporting others in big life transitions, Brook can be found plucking weeds from her gardens, hiking with her dog, or dreaming about her next most nourishing meal. You will always find her with a coffee in hand, and smelling of palo santo.
